So our Central midfiled will be O'Shit and Fletcher. I bet them Ukranians are quaking in their boots comrade. I can see this being a draw. Rangers might sneak it as well as I think Deco & Eto'o are both out tonight

Barcelona have got quite a few players out and Gudjohnsen is replacing Deco. Rangers many be able to nick something from that game.

ManYoo should win quite comfortably though. I can't see Kiev putting up that much resisitance.

Suprised Pique has been benched as he has been playing well. Like anything though the result comes before the performance and it may have been too much inexperience in the side with Pique and Anderson

Good first half from us. Nice to see us playing to our strengths like we did in '99 and go out and attack them rather than them attacking us. I think everyone has played well but Anderson has stood out for me once again. Not scared of putting his foot in when needed and not shirking his defensive responsibilities and looking to make an aggressive pass forward to open them up

Bit of a mauling against Prague, it could be 10-nil by the finish. Have Arsenal got the new Rooney in Walcott?

Giggs had an outstanding game I thought. The pace of Utd's attack was incredible.

Now I can sit down and enjoy watching Liverpool and Chelsea losing tomorrow. ;)

Well, you got half your wish :)

Fucking shite again from us.It's now looking pretty obvious now how important Paco was,and what a stupid twat Benitez was for falling out with him :(

Arsenal next,fucking great.

I watched 95% of the game, and they were poor. They didn't look like scoring, until Gerrard scored. It was a very disappointing game. I'm a neutral as far as supporting goes, and they were shit.
Edit: They may well have had a lot of the possession, but they didn't do anything with it, they lacked ideas.

Regarding the Bin Dippers rather rubbish results of late, how much of this can be put down to Rafa losing his number 2?

Looking in from the outside,i'd say most of it; only someone in the dressing room itself could really answer that with any authority.
It's not the fact that we're missing whatever it was he brought to the setup as such imho,it's more to do with the internal shenanigans that were pretty obviously going on prior to him leaving.AFAIK the final straw for Paco was Rafa playing Gerrard when he was unfit and should have not been playing.
There is pretty obviously something going on with Crouch too behind the scenes. He might not be 'that' good, but as he's only got Voronin and Kuyt for place competition it's rediculous how little time he's getting.

If your waiter was a scouser I'd get your cards cancelled, pronto.

I agree with you about the expectation bit,he's had a couple of years at the club, and in the summer he was given the money to do what he wanted (which he hasn't had before) .Both Rafa and the players know theres no room for excuses now,a pressure they haven't had to deal with before.

It sounds like you thought Paco left in the summer ?
He quit at the end of August, sorry if you knew that, its just i was unclear from what you said in the post.

Up to then we had been playing well and with some assuredness (tho we did lose 4-2 to Pompey preseason). We stuffed Derby 6-0 the day after he left ,but since then we have been shite.
