That's all very well, but as we all know, there's also intent behind the humour. I've no doubt DD is enjoying all this speculation but his choice of avatar isn't mitigated by the fact he does have relatively extreme views on the issue of race, miscegenation and immigration. I don't want to go into details here but suffice to say that his avatar disturbs me, and it will certainly disturb visitors to The-SPS. Personally, I prefer an environment where even the most extreme racist is open to question on his beliefs but as for advertising such extremism, where do we draw the line? What if DD had quoted Skrewdriver lyrics in his signature? What about a picture of a noose or a burning cross? He could simply claim it was a self-parody but that's not really enough is it?

The second world war resulted in death and suffering for millions of people and their families some of whom are still very much affected by those terrible years. We've just recently honoured our war veterans, or at least some of us have, and to now glorify Nazi Germany seems to me to be in extremely poor taste.
