I really don't understand - 44 years since you last won the trophy but every European / World competition comes round and the English media and in some respect their fans act as though they're the present champions. Failing that, they act as though they're champions elect and continue to do so even after you're knocked out.

We're constantly told that the Premiership is the best league in the world and it may well be but only because every other country in the world is represented in it. Where's the English player playing abroad? I think the last one was Owen Hargreaves and he's fucking Canadian.

I don't have a problem with England as a country, I don't have a problem with the English as a people; I have English family on my mothers side.
